UNDERGRADUATE COURSES
In the United Kingdom a Bachelor’s Degree normally takes three years to complete. These are some examples of
Bachelor’s degrees typically awarded in the UK: BA (Bachelor of Arts), BSc (Bachelor of Science), BEng (Bachelor of Engineering), BArch (Bachelor of Architecture)
ACADEMIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTSStudents should be at least 18 years old on the first day of their proposed degree course and have completed secondary education in their own country. Educational qualifications differ from country to country so please contact us if you are unsure whether you qualify. Some universities may also require you to have completed a foundation course in the United Kingdom.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTSStudents are normally required to have an Academic IELTS (or equivalent) qualification of 6.0 or higher. Some subjects such as Law may require 6.5. For students who do have the necessary level of English yet a Conditional Offer may be obtained until the English language conditions are met.
POSTGRADUATE COURSES
The UK is a great country in which to study a Master’s degree because it can be completed in one year as opposed
to two years in most other countries. However, Master’s degrees are very intensive and can be very demanding.
Some examples of postgraduate qualifications: MA (Master of Arts), MSc (Master of Science), MEng (Master of Engineering), Mmus (Master of Music)
ACADEMIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTSStudents should have completed a Bachelor’s degree. Most MBA courses would also require students to have at least 2 – 3 years of managerial work experience.
Students who do not have a Bachelor’s degree but have completed an associate degree or 2 – 3 year college diploma may also qualify for a Master’s degree upon completing a Master’s Qualifying programme or MQP. BritishUni.com can help you apply for a MQP at one of our partner colleges.
