History

History is the study of past events, specializing in human affairs across time. Studying history isn’t just about memorizing certain facts about particular historical events. It also involves the analysis of various sources to work out the overall impact of historical occurrences and trends.

Undergraduate courses are normally three or four years long. History degrees offer a wide range of modules, starting with a foundation course in the first year, and then you will have more specialized options. Students are assessed by the ability to analyse different arguments via written assignment. Your studies will eventually be focusing on a specific area, normally of your choice.
